So there is this book. Titled,The Eye of the World, that my brother recommended to me when I was a wee lass in the fourth grade. He said it was a lot like
which at the time, I was thoroughly obsessed with. So, of course, my thought process went as follows,Eye of the World=Lord of the Rings?!?! Not possible. In fact, I thought it impossible. LOTR is one of the best, most popular series ever written is it not? How could you come EQUAL to that?(without being Harry Potter anyway)So, eagerly,
I accepted his challenge.
[[please take note that I used to be quite the avid reader]]
Lord of the Rings,

At first, it moved really slowly, just kind of setting up the environment, and the characters, then suddenly, it got UBER exciting!! Like,, non-stop action status exciting! Well,, not like action-movie action but like, one thing after another, i.e. Robert Jordan (author dude)keeps a very good pace throughout the book. Unexpectedly, abruptly, I reached the end of the book, with an extremely loud"THERE'S NINE MORE FREAKING BOOKS?!" (let it be said that each and every single volume is 700+ pages) On the last pages of the copy I had acquired, there was the whole like "continue the series" with a list of all the other titles. I had to read nine. more.
The idea overwhelmed me.
This book had been so.. amazing.. and I knew I couldn't stop at just one. So, as a ten year old, I took on the task of reading books meant for students in at least high school.
I had NO idea what I was getting myself into.
So here I am, seven years later, (three more books have been written, with one more on the the way) having completed the most recent installment (volume thirteen.. >_<) about two weeks ago, Re-reading everything. Some of it for the third freaking time. [[in preparation for the long anticipated finale]] BUT this time, I'm dragging Kate, Nikki and EmJ with me. BAHAHA ^_^. EmJ has already read them all two or three times, same as me. But Kate, sheee's a rookie. And it's great.
I'm not even going to attempt to describe the plotline to you. At all. Simply put, the most complicated thing ever written.
AND to make things even MORE interesting. The original author DIED. Yea. he died. No biggy, some random dude from Salt Lake'll take care of things for you. Joy.
Even that being said, Brandon Sanderson(new guy)is doing a phenomenal job with what he had been left by RJ.
In conclusion I would like to state this : Wheel of Time≠Lord of the Rings
The end.
